정부에서 지원하고 있는 결혼이민자 통번역 서비스는 "입국초기의 결혼이민자와 다문화가족이 생활 속에서 의사소통에 불편함이 없도록 통역과 번역 서비스를 지원"하는 서비스입니다. 한국말이 서툰 결혼이민자의 가족, 사회생활에 필요한 의사소통을 지원하기 위한 다문화 가족 및 다문화가족을 직, 간접적으로 지원하는 개인 또는 기관을 지원하고 있습니다.

결혼 이민자 통번역 서비스는 결혼 이민자의 주요 출신국 언어로 결혼 이민자의 가족, 사회생활에 필요한 의사소통을 지원하기 위한 통역과 번역 서비스를 지원하며, 제공언어는 결혼이민자 주요 출신국 언어인 베트남어, 중국어, 필리핀어, 몽골어, 태국어, 러시아어, 캄보디아어, 일본어, 네팔어등 센터별 1~4개 언어를 제공하고 있으며, 해당지역 다문화가족지원센터에서 지원되지 않는 언어에 대한 통번역은 인근 다문화가족지원센터로 연계하여 지원하고 있습니다.

3. 임신, 출산, 양육 등 생활 정보 안내 및 상담내용 통번역.

4. 교육과정 퉁번역 지원.

5. 가족 간 의사소통 통역.

6. 행정, 사법 기관 이용 시 통역(공증 제외).

7. 병원, 보건소, 경찰서, 학교 등 공공기관 이용 시 통역(공증제외)

8. 위기 상황 시 긴급지원 통번역.

9. 기타 다문화가족을 직, 간접적으로 지원하는 개인 또는 기관에서 의뢰하는 통번역 업무 등.

모든 결혼 이민자 통번역 서비스는 무료 지원을 원칙으로 하고 있으나 예외적으로 요청 기관으로부터 사례비를 지급받는 경우 별도의 독립된 통장에 예치하여 사업운영비로 활용 가능합니다. 통번역 서비스의 제공 절차는 내방, 전화 파견등 제공 방법에 따라 신청인이 공정하고 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 처리하고 있습니다.
